Tom Gramkow and Betty Rohman
This May the Village of Peoria Heights and the Heights Chamber of Commerce recognized two wonderful individuals that have been a fixture here for some time. Tom Gramkow has occupied his office on Prospect for 30 years…quite a tenure! Tom is retiring and will enjoy indulging in his love of golf. We hear that Tom’s office will not be vacant, and the new tenant will be…that’s right…Jake from State Farm. Betty Rohman from Harp & Thistle is also retiring after 17 successful years of bringing all things Celtic to the Heights. Betty will be moving to Maine to enjoy time with other family members. Betty was a very active helpmate and board member for the Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce and she will be greatly missed. Many thanks to them both for their wonderful support and we wish them nothing but the best!
Carlson’s Custom Jewelry
Carlson’s Custom Jewelry located at 4701 N. Prospect Road in Peoria Heights, will be hosting another road show. National Rarities will be there on May 2, 3 and 4th.
Jeff and Martha Huebner beam with pride as they finally see the first stage of their plan come to fruition. The demolition of the cinder block building in front of what was once the Rouse & Hazard bike factory makes way for the Trefzger’s Bakery move to Peoria Heights. Trefzger’s history of fine baked goods goes all the way back to 1861. The need for expansion has been long overdue, and they can now look forward to setting up business in Peoria Heights with ample space. We look forward to watching their continued progress and success.
Harp & Thistle
With sadness, we say goodbye to a long time business friend in The Heights. After 17 successful years, Betty Rohman will be retiring at the end of March and will be making her new home in Maine. Harp & Thistle has been a steadfast anchor in the Heights, and Betty has always been a wonderful volunteer and organizer with the Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce. She will be sorely missed. Congratulations and many thanks to Betty and her family.
