Join the Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce for our next Lunch & Learn featuring Sarah Pozzi, Environmental Health Training Specialist with the Peoria City/County Health Department.
Outdoor food events provide a great opportunity for community engagement, but they also require proper planning and food safety practices to ensure vendors can safely prepare and serve food. This presentation will cover local requirements for temporary food vendors, along with key food safety practices for outdoor events, including proper handwashing, temperature control, safe food handling, and common compliance issues. Whether you are a first time vendor or an experienced food vendor, attendees will leave with a better understanding of the requirements and best practices needed to safely and successfully operate a temporary food establishment.
