Chamber of Commerce
Chamber History
The Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce was formed back in May of 1960 by Richard Willis, a man who is known today as the father of the Peoria Heights Chamber. Mr. Walter B. Martin served as the first Executive Secretary for the Chamber. Their very first project was to plant trees in the business district on Prospect Road. In June of 1962 the Chamber held it’s first community event known as the, “Old Original Days.” Richard Willis’ passion for the village and it’s people has been carried on throughout the years and remains today!!
The present Chamber continues to be an active, vibrant force in Peoria Heights as a non-profit organization of businesses, services, individuals, governmental agencies, churches, schools, restaurants, and shops located in the Peoria Heights area…..as well as other surrounding areas and businesses interested in being part of and networking with us here in The Heights!!
The sole purpose of the Chamber is to make Peoria Heights a better and more amazing place in which to visit and live. We want people to LOVE this place and to keep coming back in support of our lovely village and all it has to offer!!
The Peoria Heights Chamber hosts multiple community events throughout the year to promote our local businesses. See our Upcoming Events!
